China consumed at least US$2.4 billion Diamonds in the year of 2004, ranked as No.1 in Asia and No.5 Worldwide.

In 2004, China's diamonds trading in the name of "Normal Trade" bounded up 34.79%, to US$0.368 billion, total imported US$94 million, up 18% (Diamond Rough up 34%, Diamond Powder up 15% and Diamond Jewelry up 17%) compared to year 2003.

In 2003, China Imported 11,440,000 Carats Diamond Rough, Exported 3,300,000 Carats polished ones.

China Polished and Exported more than US$0.8 billion Diamonds in the year of 2003, ranked as the No.2 Diamond Manufacturing Center Worldwide.
